1.) Color is the reflection of light and is generally determined visually by the measurement of hues, saturation, and brightness. These colors can effect our emotions, although not the same way for everyone. For example the color red is typically associated with food, and makes you hungry. Blue tends to represent sadness, while black and yellow together tell you to be cautious.
2.) Persoanlly, I feel that knowing that color is simply the reflection of light is amazing. When I look at a colorful picture, I dont think about the light thats being reflected. But, in reality what your seeing is the light that is being reflected not the light that is being absorbed. That part to me is the most intriguing because I would expect it to be the exact opposite.
3.) In the color video, I thought that it was interesting how people can choose colors based of their emotions like when June was creating her painting. I also thought that June's favorite painting, Assumption of the Virgin, was beautiful through the painters ability to use the color red and his use of light to create reflections.
4.) In the feelings video, I find that fact that art was created to express reason interesting. Art in the 18th century was used to describe human feeling. Artisits like Goya and David displayed emotions of anger, resentment, and nobility through principles of space and color. Without art, our society would have developed in a completely different way.
