Reflections of AED

1.)    For this course I expected to learn a lot about the different forms of art and how they were composed. I also expected to learn a lot about different artists and how or why they created such works of art. My expectations throughout this course were met.

2.)    Now that I have taken this course my definition on art wouldn’t change too much. I would define art as a way that people can express themselves and that there are many different styles and forms of art all that appeal to different audiences.

3.)    In my original posting I said that my favorite artist was Pablo Picasso, and I would say that he still is my favorite artists. Throughout the course I learned a lot more about Picasso from watching the videos and seeing more of his art work. In the beginning I just kind of picked him because he was a popular artist that I knew, but I liked learning about him and find his life to be very interesting.

4.)    I have taken many online courses; truthfully, they are usually easy, throughout this course although the content was not difficult it was too time consuming. The amount of work I had to produce for this course this semester was more than my other five classes together, especially with having to watch hour long videos. If I had to make a suggestion I would say limit the work and not just create busy work.
