1.) In the video, Through the Eyes of a Sculptor, I learned the process of creating a sculpture. I have never seen this completed before, and learned about how much work goes into creating the final piece. I also learned about the traditions of Michelangelos time about building sculpture and how it compares to todays time. Lastly, the most intersting thing was how artists help to restore old sculptures from the past and how much passion they show for the artwork. In the Glass and Cermics video, I learned alot. First of all right in the beginning I was shocked to hear that glass is made of sand, I have never heard that before. Also, that glass is a liquid that stiffens when cool. I enjoyed watching the process of how glass was made.
2.) The videos related to the text because they both describe how glass, ceramics, and clay were made and what they are used for. Also, they both touch on the history of the materials. Also, text talked about how clay, glass, and ceramiacs have transformed to be considered fine art through painting and creating different effects on the finish product the video had demonstrated this process.
3.) I really enjoyed the Glass and Ceramics film, it make me want to go to the corning muesum of glass. I learned alot by watching the processes of creating glass, ceramics, and a scultpre, compared to just reading it. The video's (especially Glass and Ceramics) helped me to better understand the materials and the process of creating them.
